Since eye surgery. It's taking time to heal, but not being able to focus, to see clearly feels like being amputated.

I went horseback riding! It was so much fun.

I like how they have a secret layer that conveys sounds & smells & stories. Even if it doesn't make sense to anyone but me.
This one has the sound of stillness, off in Hiroshima. And the bittersweet glimpse of an old friend.

I feel like when I look at the most recent photo I posted & then this one that I can smell the pine & the leaves & feel the moisture & long for the water as I hear it run down the side of the mountain-the way I did on those days.

That made me miss my old backyard.
